Kindergarten ~ Bevyn Pageler
My name is Bevyn Pageler, and I am thrilled to be joining the MCA family as the kindergarten teacher. I have experience teaching kindergarten, first grade, and second grade in Bryan, TX, and Georgetown. I graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Psychology, and I earned my Masters in Education from Texas State University.
I live in Georgetown with my husband Tim, who grew up here, and my two children, 7th grader Tessa and 4th grader Brady. We love spending time outside, playing and watching sports, and volunteering in the community. We also love reading, and we even have our own Free Little Library in our yard.
I feel tremendously privileged to have your child in my class this year. I have always been passionate about creating and cultivating lifelong learners, and I am committed to providing our students with a loving, Christ-centered, and developmentally sound foundation to encourage that to happen. I see each child as an amazing individual that will also be a part of a wonderful little family in our classroom and at MCA. I hope to cultivate their gifts and help strengthen them academically, emotionally, and spiritually. Additionally, I am honored to have the opportunity to instill the word of the Lord in all that we do. Together, I know we will have an amazing year!

Everything about MCA feels like “home”. I previously have been teaching for 12 years in RRISD. I graduated from Texas State University with my Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, Early Childhood through fourth grade. (Go Bobcats!) In my final year, I was nominated for Student Teacher of the Year. I am thrilled to have officially joined the wonderful faculty here at MCA.

We have such an exciting year ahead of us, and I am very excited to be working with your child! My goal is to incorporate all learning styles in my classroom. I believe that at this age students are discovering which learning style works best for them, so they will be introduced to all types of kinesthetic, auditory, and visual activities in all subject areas in order to become familiar with each and develop as learners. I strongly believe in independence at this age. Although they may be young, this age group is capable of some amazing things! You will see this as their school year progresses. Small group instruction and differentiated activities are a must. Students have different strengths and interest because they are unique, and my goal is to meet their needs as an individual as well as in a collective group.

It is thrilling to see my students accept Jesus as their Savior and begin their personal relationship with Him. Academically, it is my goal to meet each child where they are and provide the tools they need for a well-rounded year full of learning and growth, teach them to work hard, and instill in them the confidence to know that they can do hard things. Emotionally, each child in my class knows that I believe in them and love them. We celebrate accomplishments and successes, and we pray through the highs and lows of our year together. I am beyond blessed to have the privilege of teaching at MCA.

In my free time, you can find me outside by some body of water, on a hiking trail, or enjoying live music and yummy food.
It is a tremendous privilege and responsibility to use my passion for educating to further impact students while instilling the word of God at the same time. I look forward to building many more relationships with students and members of the MCA community. I have been with Shining Stars for a total of 16 years, and I am blessed to work at such a wonderful school, and I deeply believe in our mission to train children educationally and Biblically.
In Art, I encourage my students to express themselves creatively as well as develop a love for viewing and creating art. I encourage them to learn from their “mistakes” and to see beauty in the creative “mess”. I believe that art is a process of making and interpreting visual reminders of God’s creation and is an essential part of bringing students into a deeper relationship with their Creator.
In ASL, my goal is to teach compassion toward the Deaf Community and instill a desire and the skills to communicate as well as socialize among them. I want my students to see ASL as a beautiful language, and to learn to understand and acceptance of our hearing-impaired friends.
I passionately believe in Christian education and am blessed to be part of the incredible staff here at MCA.

My goal in the classroom is to provide children with a safe and fun learning environment where we are open to making mistakes and learning from every experience we have in a God-honoring way!
